About Us

We are a crafter/artist collective in the sense that we are a group of artists working together toward shared aims. We enjoy working both collaboratively and individually depending on the task or tasks at hand. Sharing ideas and approaches and learning more about working with different mediums is what we love. In addition we enjoy the adventure of discovering new mediums, new ways to work with our favourite mediums, new ways to incorporate the found and recycled; and are happiest when we can play.

We are three former educators who share a common love of the arts and crafts. Many of our ideas were generated in our school lives and now that we have moved beyond the classroom we are expanding those ideas into areas that we personally find irresistible and wish to share with others.

Carrie is our “think outside the box” person.

She sees art in all things, particularly in all things recyclable. One of her favourite mediums is plarn (yarn made from plastic). Her upcycled birdbaths are a big hit! In addition she works with glass paint and acrylic paint on a variety of surfaces.

Lorraine is our imaginative person.

She loves to produce her pieces of art completely from scratch, the art board itself and the finished painted product. The medium she most enjoys is papier mâché. She also enjoys working with glass painting, polymer clay and whatever strikes her fancy at any given time!

Vaughan is our decorative person.

Her favourite medium is acrylic paint which she will use on any surface. She takes great delight in discovering new techniques and brush strokes and has discovered a new passion in altered art.
